• Join us for this jam packed two day weekend course learning to make a hand sewn, lined ‘parachute’ shaped lampshade with trim. Run by Charlotte Campbell of @TheCharlotteCampbellCollection .

During the two days you’ll:

• Learn how to template for lining and outer fabric for your shade

• Master the art of the lampshade stitch

• Learn about the fabric ‘bias’ and maintaining tension without distorting your pattern

• Leave the course with a lined parachute lampshade with trim, all hand sewn

Comprehensive notes and instructions on how to work on other types of frames are also covered, so you can confidently tackle many other shapes.

The £300 price include frames, teaching, use of tools, teas, coffees and biscuits. Students can bring their own choice of fabric and trim, but a small selection will also be available to purchase on the day. Get in touch with us if you’d like recommendations for sourcing fabrics or trim.

The days will run from 9:30 - 16:45 with 45 minutes for a lunch break. There is a lot to fit in to the two days so students may wish to bring a packed lunch.

Our courses are run based on a minimum number of attendees, on the rare chance we do not gain enough people we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule and will notify you as soon as we possibly can. In the case that the course is cancelled by Shoreditch Design Rooms you will be refunded in full.
