Latest (November ’17) : Our Daytime and Evening leisure classes are currently fully booked but we will be starting a whole new set of classes in Feb. ’18. Please get in contact asap for details of these and to book your place. Our upholstery leisure classes are always busy so please book yourself in soon!
Shoreditch Design Rooms, established in April 2013, is a creative space where people can come and learn about furniture upholstery, restoration and design and can finish their course with their very own bespoke piece of furniture.
You should bring your own furniture to work on during the class, but we can help you to decide on, or source, pieces that would be suitable. You can work on a variety of different projects during a leisure course where you will be taught and taken through all the tips and techniques of this amazing trade in order to transform your furniture into something amazing!
UPHOLSTERY Leisure classes can include the following:
Course structures and cost:
Day Time class: Wednesday mornings from 9.30am-1.30pm
Evening classes: Monday, Tues OR Wednesday evenings 6.30pm to 9.30pm
Students normally choose to do one of these Leisure Class sessions per week.
4 hour Wednesday daytime classes cost £43.33 + VAT a session and the 3 hour evening classes are £33.33 +VAT a session and you pay as you go for your materials.
Students sign up for an 18 week course and payment can be made in 2 instalments.
At this time, you will be able to leave your furniture at the school should you wish to. We teach absolute beginners to advanced students, and also offer workshop space for those with projects they can work on alone.
Our next set of daytime and evening leisure classes begin in the first week of Feb. ’18.
Please get in CONTACT ASAP as our Leisure upholstery classes are often over-subscribed – please do also let us know if you would like to come by for a visit and see a class in action. All welcome!
