Upholsterer/teacher – 2 positions available

Amazing opportunity to join the growing team at Shoreditch Design Rooms, upholstery school and workshop in East London.

We provide AMUSF-accredited courses from beginners to advanced. It’s very much a hands-on teaching experience and we have small class sizes (max. 8 students). You will be an experienced upholsterer who likes working with people and is looking for your next challenge. Teaching experience, although preferred, is not essential as training and assistance will be given. You will be proactive, be able to manage schedules and work to tight deadlines and have a keen eye for detail.

  • 5+ years upholstery experience
  • Traditional upholstery techniques including knowledge and experience with iron backs, independent sprung edges and deep buttoning
  • Modern techniques including concave frames
